We were driving from 2 lanes next to each other and at one point the two lanes combine into one. While I was alittle pass over the truck, it hit me from the side. A few months ago my dad had a fire at his house. In the middle of restorations, his insurance company dropped him. I have an 11-yr old car with 106K miles that runs well. Last night I was rear-ended quite hard while waiting at a red light. Both the other driver and his insurance co immediately admitted liability. The damage to my car is pretty bad. I went to the auto body shop recommended by the other guy's insurance co - they told me the car will have to be totalled b/c it will cost more to repair than what the car is worth - he estimated the car is worth $2K and repairs will be at least $4K. But I cannot buy another car - at least not one I'd trust to drive! - for $2K. The accident was completely NOT my fault - how can the insurance co not pay to repair it? Hi there,i was wondering if you could please help me here i am due to take my theary test soon but befour i do i was going to get a car and drive round on L PLATES with my lessons aswell so i can get extra experiance,i was just wondering if i am to do this il get the car inshored forwhat it costs me to insure say its 700 a year when i have passed my best i will wanna take the L PLATES off,will i have to pay more for my insurance after this or can i just take them off and drive as normal when i have passed my test?because if i got insured on LPLATES it is cheaper then a first pasts driver thas why i was confused.if you could please let me know because i really could do with the estra experiance....and also i was told that who ever i drive round with on LPLATES has to be insured on my car for them to be able to instruct me is this true? thanks for your time and help many thanks, Andrew.

Average time before a vehicle is ready for sale on IAAI (Insurance Auto Auctions Inc.)?

I've been waiting for this truck to be put up for sale FOREVER. I know IAAI has to receive the title from the insurance company before the can put the truck up for sale but its been like 3 months. Trucks that are completely wrecked that are put up after this truck sell first, but this truck has no damage so i dont know why its taking forever. I know it takes insurance companys forever to do paperwork but 3 months!? if you know the average time for vehicles on IAAI or any other salvage auto auctions it would be great.
